Atlas was established by Capita in 2015 as a multi-employer pension scheme master trust. Since then, Atlas has grown into one of the UK’s leading master trusts, supporting over 110,000 members with total retirement savings of around £1.5bn.
It has now been decided that, subject to regulatory approval, SEI will take over as the financial and strategic backer (‘the Funder’) of Atlas, extending a successful, long-term strategic partnership between SEI and Capita. SEI is a leading global provider of investment services with more than 50 years’ experience in investment and wealth management. The administration of Atlas will continue to be delivered by Capita, who also administer the SEI Master Trust.
There is no action required by members and there will be no immediate changes to members’ Atlas retirement savings, which remain safe and governed by an independent board of trustees.
We currently expect to obtain regulatory approval and effect the change later this year. At that time, we will provide more information and share our future development roadmap.
